Fascination in Meteor Shower turned into a Horror Movie

Meteor that crashed in Russia is the largest to have hit earth in more than a 100 YEARS, claim scientists

• Experts say the meteor weighed 100,000 tonnes and was 55 feet wide
• The rock created a 50-foot hole in a frozen lake near Chelyabinsk
• Scientists say they have located 53 tiny fragments of the meteor
• Stones have magnetic field and emit unusually high traces of radiation

          Before, I think of meteor showers as magical, beautiful and an amazing thing that all of us want to witness. When I was a kid, I would stay outside our house and wait for meteors, stars and so on (I think I'm not alone? right?). My fascination about meteors grew when the Korean series ( I'm not sure if its Korean, lol xD but I think its a Taiwanese series but I'll say Korean because its more cute to hear :D ) "Meteor Garden" was shown in ABS-CBN (can you remember it? Isn't it a wonderful tv series?). The meteor shower shown before the commercials are stunning. But Last Friday, when I heard the news about the scary meteor shower that hit Russia, my fascination about meteors was suddenly turned into scary horror movie.     

        

         Anyways, are you done reading the article above? (the one I shared the link) How was it? Amazing huh? Will you agree with me if I say that there's a lot of weird things that is happening in this world right now? The breathtaking tsunami in Japan, the different typhoons that hit different countries such as Philippines and United States of America, and recently the meteor shower in Russia that caused a lot of damages in the said area. This phenomena brought a lot of question to all of us. Are aliens invading the earth (as how others think say it)? Is it really the end of the world? What would happen next? and so on and so forth. Below are some of the photos that was taken during and after the meteor shower.

          As you can see, base on the photos above, The meteor shower phenomena brought a  lot of damages in the City(Chelyabinsk, Russia)specifically in its Economy. When we say Economy, it basically includes the economic system of a country or other area; the labor, capital, and land resources; and the manufacturing, production, trade, distribution, and consumption of goods and services of that area (wikipedia). Anyways, let's go back to the main topic(I just shared to you the definition of Economy. :D ). We all know that the Economic condition of Chelyabisk, Russia is the most affected area. Am I right? Yes, I think I am. Why did I say so? First, there's a lot of establishments that was destroyed and we all know that this establishments play a very big role in the economy of a certain place. This establishments may be in a form of Malls, Convenience Stores, Grocery Stores. Factories and so on. Can you Imagine if they lost many of those? There will only be few goods that the consumers in the area may acquire and thus, in return the establishments will have less income that they can get from the goods that the households will buy or acquire from them(since we know that the expenditure of the households(buyer) is the income of the firms(seller)). In addition, If there will only be few establishments left in the said City, It will therefore produce only few output and we all know that the this outputs that they will produce is a factor of a country's GDP. Thus, it will decrease their total GDP because the more the output they produce, the bigger their GDP may become and vice versa.

                   Next is that base on the different articles I've read about this meteor shower/explosion, It injured tons of people (If I'm not mistaken, I think more that 1 thousand residents were injured). Without further explanation, I think you already know the reason why is this a factor in the economic change of Chelyabisk. Am I right? But just so you know my dear readers, without us,  people (the player, worker in the economy), our Economy would be stagnant! There will be no development that will occur. Why? Because we are the one that manipulates it. We are the one that works for its development and we are also that one that causes it to fluctuate or fail. Another is that, if you remember in the article above (If you read it), It was mentioned there that residents have been interested in black market value of the fragments since the dramatic incident, as a 'gold mine' has been kickstarted fior the valuable pieces. Actually, it doesn't have any effect in the GDP since we know that the underground economy isn't included in its computation, but still it is not good to fool other people.

                   Have you noticed that almost all of the things that I've mentioned above are the negative side of this phenomena on the economic condition of Chelyabisk? Lol, maybe not ha. But yeah, those are the negative side of this meteor shower thingy. But if there is negative side, there will always be a positive side too. Right? Everything should be equal. It can't only be the bad side, We should also talk about the good side of it. Why not? right? (sorry for the use of "am i right?" "right?" over and over again. haha! that's just me  being me :> ) Anyhow, I'll begin with the tourism of the said area in Russia, because of this event, many tourists might get attracted to visit the place since this phenomena is known to really "rock the world" (lol, sorry, that just came into my mind, i really don't know what I mean with that, but it sounds cool so yeah, I won't erase it). With this, residents in the area might have the idea to use the opportunity to begin a business(souvenir shops and the like) since there would be lots of tourist that will visit there. This will help their economy to "somehow" cope up with the damages that the meteorite have caused them. This will increase their total income and GDP.

           I think this blog is too long now (lol, sorry for that). But before I end this, I just want to raise a suggestion not just to the Russians but to all of us. I think I would be great if we can all be ready for calamities like this and the for that to happen, I think warning devices would be helpful. By warning devices, I mean the typical device that will alarm whenever it can sense calamities such as this meteor shower or other weird stuff that doesn't often occur or maybe even the one that always occur such as typhoons and so on. I think it will be helpful in the betterment and development of our country and the world's economy as a whole.
